Important Information
Good afternoon everybody
We’ve had a great week of improvement at PCG carnivals. I hope you are all excited about tomorrow’s Relay event. It’s an important opportunity to race at HBF Stadium and we expect that you will swim really fast.
I have a couple of important pieces of information to pass on regarding the upcoming week.
1) Relay Carnival
Please remember that the carnival is Sunday and that you are required at differing times.
Year 7-9 Arrive at 10.15am
Year 10-12 Arrive at 1.15pm.
This will allow you 15min to get ready before warm ups start.
Siobhan will be in charge of all swimming related matters, as I will be running the carnival.
You will swim 1 x50m time-trial and 2 relays.
The 50m time trial is to be in a stroke of your choice, unless Siobhan tells you otherwise (some will need to gain a non-freestyle time for team selection purposes).
Relay teams will be picked and assembled based on the personnel that present on the day. It can be a bit hectic and boys have been inadvertently left out of a team in the past. Let me be clear, it is your responsibility to ensure that you know which team you are swimming in. If you are still unclear after the announcement of teams (on pool-deck), then badger Siobhan until she tells you a definitive position, eg ‘3rd swimmer in the D Free relay’. It is important that you get a swim, even if we have to join in with another school.
Please make sure that you do not change order or teams without consultation. The results we receive have no names, so the only way you will know your time for sure is if you swim in te order and team you are given.
Uniform is as close to TC swim uniform as you can get, PE uniform is fine. TC bathers are preferred and TC cap is optional.
2) Mercedes College Training

Year 7 and 8 will be training at Mercedes College on Monday.
Year 9-12 will be at TC with Siobhan, Mercedes Head Coach Courtney and our TC coaches.
At Mercedes we aim to be in the water at 6.30am. Mr. Mepham will be at Mercedes to co-ordinate training and bring boys back on the Red Cat (10min journey, running every 5min) in time for TC breakfast at 7.50. Please see below for maps on how to get to Mercedes and the Red Cat route we will take back to TC.
On Friday the groups will be reversed.
3) Age Champs
The Age Championships will be held at TC Pool on Wednesday Feb 24th. This carnival runs across Period 1, 2 and 3. The champions of each Age Group will be announced at the end of this carnival.
Mr. Leahy will post names of all boys required (I will also post on this site ASAP), but if you have swum this event in the past, you are required to attend in 2016.
Good luck tomorrow.
Mr.Mepham

Breakfast Volunteers
Last Friday we broke the record serving over 70 breakfasts to our hungry swimmers!
Our volunteer parents do a fantastic job and we are all very grateful for their efforts.
We do however have a need for more helpers on Wednesday mornings. If you can spare some time please click on the link and sign-up;
