Swim Camp Success!

It was a fantastic turn out to the annual Summer Swim Camp yesterday, a record 40 boys in attendance and I hope this enthusiasm transfers into a winning season for the team!

It was a great opportunity to get to know the new Year 7 boys, who seem to be settling in remarkably well.

Training has now been running for almost 2 weeks and the attendance has been strong, although we would like to see more of our senior boys at training on a regular basis to set the example for the younger team members!

Training days and times:

Monday 6.30am-8.00am
Wednesday 6.30am-8.00am
Friday 6.30am-8.00am

***Please remember to bring a water bottle and goggles***

We have our first swim meet Saturday 4th February at Trinity College against Wesley College so please keep that date in your calendar.

Breakfast for our swimmers start on 3rd February through to 8th March, we need parent volunteers to make this happen, please watch this space for more information in the coming days.

Cheers

Time Trial Night

It is great to see so many boys attending training in the mornings. I’m sure it’s all about the swimming and nothing to do with the great breakfasts.

Friday November 11th (next Friday) is an opportunity to test your speed.

We only hold one swimming event in Term 4 and it’s a great opportunity to see if the training is paying off. Many of you haven’t raced since Inters so need to at least have one hit out.

Date: Friday Nov 11th

Venue: TC Pool

Time: Warm-up 4.15pm,
Start 5.00pm
Finish 6.15-6.30pm.

Food: Yes you will be fed, with a free sausage sizzle and a drink.

Status: Semi-compulsory/strongly encouraged.

I know it’s after MS sport, but I’d love for everyone to at least have an idea of where they are at before the holidays.

We will be swimming 50’s of all strokes and maybe a 100.

This is a fun meet and will be run for us, under proper racing conditions, in conjunction with Western Sprint Swim Club.
