Congratulations to those boys who’ve made the final team.

trinity-psa-inters-team-2017

To those who have missed- please accept our gratitude to you for all of your hard work and dedication. We know the sacrifices you’ve made and we’re proud of your efforts. Remember that rivers cut paths through great mountains by applying small amounts of pressure over long periods of time. Never give up on yourself. Learn from your setbacks and if you keep up the pressure, you will move your mountain.

As always, we are not immune from error, so if you think that something should be brought to our attention, please inform us by Tuesday.

PSA SWIMMING INTERS – THURSDAY, 9 MARCH

This year’s PSA Swimming Inters will be held at HBF Stadium on Thursday, 9 March commencing at 5:15pm. The event usually concludes at about 9:30pm. As we have a limited allocation of tickets for parents, and approximately 120 students in the squad, each family of a squad member will initially be offered one ticket. This ticket will be available to be collected from the College Reception, free of charge, on Tuesday, 7 March and Wednesday, 8 March. If there are any tickets remaining after this time, families of squad members will have the opportunity to pick up a second ticket from the College Reception on Thursday, 9 March. On the Thursday morning tickets will be distributed on a first come first served basis, until all tickets are taken. The final squad will be announced on Tuesday, 7 March. We wish our swimming squad every success in the carnival.

Age Championships and Inters Selection

Congratulations on your performance at Quads boys. There were nearly 80 pb’s on the night.

Don’t concern yourselves with the outcome of the night, we will make many changes and I feel that we will be VERY competitive at PSA.

Just a few points to think about;

1- Age Championships- Friday March 3rd. Lunch time onwards. Yr 7- To leave SOS or camp early, by appointment, if they wish. Yr 8-9- to miss Friday sport training in order to attend. Yr 10-12- Must attend if chosen. Please see the event sheet distributed through PCG. All swimmers in the Quads team and those who have taken part in events this year should be included. If you have been omitted, please contact Mr Leahy or Mr Mepham. This is the last event before Inters therefore is your last chance for selection.

2- Inters Team Selection- Final selection will be made by Friday evening and posted ASAP after that. I expect the team will be up on Sat morning.

3- Inters- Thursday March 9th- Information will be posted as soon as available. Parents- please make sure your son has a Swim Team shirt and swimming cap. Tuesday will be the last day that the uniform shop will be open before Inters.

4- Inters programme- please note that the team will be sent to the printer’s on Friday morning. This will mean that the programme you receive on the night will not be correct. Unfortunately, the printers aren’t working the long weekend and we have been forced to send a team in before we have selected it.

5- Training- Wednesday-relays as normal Friday-as normal. Monday public holiday-Training on but no breakfast. Wednesday- Brief team warm up 7.00-7.45.

6- Attitude- Attention to detail is key now. We work on the ‘process of swimming fast’. Effort alone won’t help us improve in the final week, only effort directed purposefully. Attend to the process and the result will be a formality.

7- We are very proud of all of you. Your training has been excellent, let’s sharpen the focus and band together in the pursuit of one goal.

Let’s bring this season to a great conclusion.

We need volunteers!

we-need-you

With only 4 breakfasts to go we still have quite a few spots available and as the numbers of swimmers are increasing (including junior school swimmers) we really need all hands on deck.

Unfortunately the volunteers can’t take cash in the morning as there are no facilities to record payment. Please use the online store to pay for breakfast for your son.
