This year’s PSA Swimming Inters will be held at HBF Stadium on Thursday, 8 March commencing at 5:15pm. The event usually concludes at about 9:30pm. As we have a limited allocation of tickets for parents, and approximately 110 students in the squad, each family of a squad member will initially be offered one ticket. This ticket will be available to be collected from the College Reception, free of charge, on Tuesday, 6 March and Wednesday, 7 March. If there are any tickets remaining after this time, families of squad members will have the opportunity to pick up a second ticket from the College Reception on Thursday, 8 March. On the Thursday morning tickets will be distributed on a first come first served basis, until all tickets are taken. The final squad was announced, Thursday, 1 March. We wish our swimming squad every success in the carnival.

Swimming Age Championships

Swimming Age Championships will proceed tomorrow, 3 extra staff have been allocated to the host the swim meet. The boys will have an opportunity to swim and secure their positions in the PSA Swimming Inters team.

The Swimming Age Championships will take place tomorrow during periods 1 and 2.  Boys should attend PCG as normal and move to the pool at the start of period 1.

Time trials for Inters

Hi Team,

As you will have seen in the previous post, Age Championships won’t be running on Wednesday. For those who aren’t able to make the time trial at lunch on Wednesday, we will run a time trial at training in the morning. Those who were wanting to race strokes/distances they didn’t get to swim at Quads, you will have the opportunity to swim those on Wednesday (tomorrow morning!).

We will be selecting the Interschool Team this week so if you want to see if you can beat your PB and increase your chances of making the team, come along to Wednesday’s session.

Swimming Age Championships

Dear Parents,

Problems with the staffing of this year’s  Swimming Age Championships have arisen as a result of the year 7 Becoming Brothers Retreat being on at the same time as the swimming.  A large number of staff who normally help at the Age Championships are not available this Wednesday as they are in Dwellingup or have other matters to attend to which prevent them from being at the swimming. The Age Championships, for this year, will not run in its usual format but any boy who wishes to do a time trial in any event/distance can do so at lunchtime on Wednesday and the time recorded will be taken into consideration when the team is being selected for next week’s PSA Inters.

For 2018;

  • The Age Champions for this year will be determined based on the points each boy scores at the Swimming Inters next week.
  • Times recorded at the swimming meets with Wesley College,  Perth College and the Quads Swimming Carnival will be considered, along with any time trial recorded on Wednesday, when the team is selected.

Quadrangular Meet, HBF Stadium, Thursday, 22nd February 2018

Buses to Quadrangular Swim Meet at the HBF Stadium will be provided from Trinity College via Nelson Cresent at 4:30pm, Thursday 22nd February. Parents will need to pick up their sons at HBF Stadium.

Arrival time: 5.15pm for warm-up (6pm racing starts)
Boys may leave after their race is completed but all boys must arrive on time unless previously discussed with Mr Mepham.

Uniform: Boy MUST wear TC bathers and cap.

Please ensure that your PE/Swim team uniform is labelled because all the boys will be wearing the same thing.

 

Quadrangular Meet at HBF Stadium

Trinity Swimming Team for Quadrangular Meet, HBF Stadium, Thursday, 22nd February 2018

In some age groups, we will be fielding ‘Freestyle Div 3’ team in the Div 2 event. All swimmers listed will swim but may find that they move on the night.

Please note that the Quads event is a practice, therefore you may not be selected in your strongest event, but selected for another. We are trying to juggle swimmers to find the best fit for Inters.
