Welcome back to school everyone!

For those who haven’t been to training in the holidays, (shame), I hope you are rested and ready to fire, because the majority of the team has forged ahead.

We have had record numbers at training during January, averaging over 40 at each session for the whole month. A special mention to our new Yr 7 boys who have dominated training. Great work and welcome to our (your) team.

It was fantastic to see so many swimmers attend the TC v WC meet on Saturday. I was proud to witness 22 Freestyle pb’s and many other stroke pb’s to start the year.

TC v WC swim meet

Great turnout for our first official swim meet of the 2019 swim season. As Mr. Mepham said it was wonderful to see so many year 7’s at the event giving 100% effort and dedication.

Full squad training commences again Wednesday 6th February at 6:20am. There are only 15 training sessions before the big event, so make every pool session count!

Week 2 of the term will be a busy week for swimming with PCG Carnivals, Perth College Valentine Swim Meet and the Age Championships. Watch this space.

Swim Team training starts Wednesday the 6th of February for all swimmers years 7 – 12.  Breakfast will be served to all our hungry swimmers at 8am Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings after training.

Unfortunately, the volunteers can’t take cash as there are no facilities to record the payment. Breakfast cost is only $4. Bacon & egg burger, hash browns, and a drink – Great value we think!

2019 Trinity Swim Breakfast Volunteers Term 1

we-need-you

Swimming starts Week 1 Wednesday 6th February and concludes Week 6 Wednesday 13th March.

The breakfast can’t happen without volunteers, so we need parent helpers;

Monday: 6:20 – 8:00am
Wednesday: 6:20 – 8:00am
Friday: 6:20 – 8:00am

We would love to see some fresh faces in the kitchen this term, especially from the new school parents. It’s a wonderful way to meet fellow Swim Team parents and to build that TC community spirit. If you have thought of volunteering but haven’t put your name down yet, please click on the link below to sign up.

2019 Swim Camp

A great turn out today for the annual Summer Swim Camp, with a solid group of approximately 48 boys in attendance and I hope this enthusiasm transfers into a winning season for the team!

It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know the new Year 7 boys, who seem to be settling in remarkably well.

Training has now been running for almost 3 weeks and the attendance has been strong, although we would like to see more of our year 9, 10 and 11 boys at training on a regular basis to set the example for the younger team members!

A big thank you to all our coaches Siobhan, Sam, Ethan, Michael, Jaxon, Brett, Alex, and Anton.
