HBF Stadium Inters Map and Tickets

HBF Stadium Inters Map

A reminder that parents of squad members will be able to obtain a spectator ticket to next Thursday’s PSA Swimming Inters at HBF Stadium, from 8.30am on Monday morning, through Mrs Jo Mari at College Reception.

We have 100 tickets reserved for parents of squad members. Parents will initially be able to secure one ticket per family. These tickets are supplied by the College free of charge to parents. If there are any tickets left by Thursday morning, parents of squad members will be able to secure a second ticket on this day.

There will also be 200 General Admission tickets for sale at HBF Stadium on the day of the carnival, for families of squad members needing additional tickets. These tickets are for seats at the east end of the arena, facing the diving pool.

The PSA is trialling a new system with the parent spectator seating this year, where each school has a designated entry door to the arena, but once inside, there are no designated seating areas for the parents from each school. My advice to all parent spectators is to arrive early to ensure the best viewing. Trinity parents will enter through Door 7 and the Trinity Year 12 student spectators will be located in the front seating section between Doors 6 and 7. I think the best viewing will be behind the Trinity boys between Doors 6 and 7.

Parent Volunteers

we-need-you
As is the long-held tradition at Trinity, the swimmers come together to share lunch on the day of the PSA Interschool Swimming Carnival. This year we are having the lunch catered for and asking a few parents to provide a salad help set up, serve lunch and then clean up after the boys have finished their meal. Assistance will be required from 10:00am – 2.30 pm. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and if you are available for all or part of this time, please email me at s@eganpg.com.au

The 2019 Inters team is now posted.

PSA

Hopefully, you are happy with the selections and consider them to be just and fair.

It is possible that errors have been made, so please query any selections/non-selections that seem odd to you. Remember that some of these could change (due to illness/team balance etc) in the next few days.

For those of you who didn’t make it to training this morning, the following was covered;

  1. Training is compulsory for the WHOLE team on Monday and compulsory on Wednesday for the whole team (excluding those preparing for Nationals with a club). This includes reserves and the full Yr 7 group.
  2. All Yr 7 swimmers are welcome to attend swimmers lunch, as well as those in Yr 8-12 on the swimmers and reserves list. (See Mr Mepham or Mr Gage if in any doubt, we don’t want to exclude those who’ve worked all season)
  3. Swim uniform is to be purchased (if required) today or Tuesday. The clothing shop is not open Wed or Thur.
  4. TC caps are in short supply, so if you can’t get one, we can arrange a loan from Junior School swimmers. If you borrow and break/lose the cap, you owe the lender full price ($15) though.
  5. Inters Day schedule will come out by Monday. AND
  6. Swimming fast is a process. A state of mind, if you like. We are all capable of swimming fast if we believe it. Our gateway to swimming fast will be PROCESS. By following the process that leads to swimming fast, we will inevitably perform the skills necessary for peak performance, thus greatly increasing the odds of eliminating unforced errors and swimming PB’s as a consequence. To simplify this- Take care of the processes required for swimming fast and the result will come naturally.

Let’s do this.
