The TC Pool will be undergoing planned maintenance from Jan 3rd – 7th 2022. As a result we are unable to train at our normal times. We will be commencing the season with training on Monday Jan 3rd 4.00pm – 5.15pm
Wednesday Jan 5th 4.00pm-5.15pm
Friday Jan 7th 4.00pm-5.15pm
The following week (Jan 10th +) will revert to normal times.
If you have an interest in teaching swimming as a part time job in the swimming industry, or gaining a real-world workplace qualification (great for resumes), we will be providing an opportunity for TC Swim Team boys to complete this certification in the January holidays.
You must be 16yrs old by the course date (Yr 12 & most Yr 11 in 2022) and we will have some positions available during Vacswim at TC to complete your practical hours.
Please note- places are capped at 20 & this is listed as a ‘public course’ so anyone can enrol. The longer you leave the enrolment, the more chance that the course will fill up with non-TC participants.
We are 4 weeks in to our 2022 season and a lot has happened. We have had record attendances, fantastic breakfasts, new pb’s, 3 time trials and a whole lot of excitement has been generated.
The discipline shown by the boys who are attending has been nothing short of exceptional (even with the addition of pushups past 6.25). It is great to see the extra workload paying dividends via increased fitness levels.
We are also very thankful for the generosity of the parents who have given freely of their time to cook and serve breakfast.
There are a few reminders that I would like to keep in the front of your minds-
We are hosting a swim meet between Trinity, Perth College, Penrhos, Ursula Frayne and Wesley on Saturday Nov 13th at TC, 3pm-5pm. Adam, Sam & I would love to see as many TC boys attend as possible.
You need to book your attendance and race preference, as this is a big(ish) meet and we need to cater properly. Parents, your support with various duties would be greatly appreciated.
Training will continue through until Monday November 29th (6 more sessions). We are aware that there will be exams in there and a few year groups will finish school, but I’d encourage you to still make the commitment to attend swim training. We want 50 boys attending training each session.
There are a number of team members that we haven’t seen at all for training, please let them know how valuable they are to our success.
Unfortunately, the volunteers can’t take cash as there are no facilities to record the payment.
Breakfast cost is $58.50 for the Term 4 Swimming Season, that’s $4.50 for 13 swimming sessions. Bacon & egg burger, hash browns, and a drink – that’s great value we think!
Please click on the online store below to pay for your son’s breakfast.
Breakfast is served on Monday and Friday mornings. There are a few more spots to fill, breakfast can not happen without your help. So Please sign up. Your sons will be very grateful….
All swimming parents from year 7 – 12 are welcome.
All TC swimmers are encouraged to attend .It’s free to enter. A sausage sizzle and drink is available afterwards for $5 and all siblings, friends etc are welcome to register.
Trinity College is pleased to announce Adam Koprowski as new Senior Swim Coach.
Following the retirement of Siobhan Tindall after 11 years of successful service to the TC swim team, Adam Koprowski has been named as the new senior swim coach. Adam is a highly regarded swim coach having coached at Western Sprint SC for 3 years, coaching a very successful squad to State Championships, including 5 Gold medals in his short time coaching. Adam is a a fine technician and a great motivator, having been awarded the Swimming WA ‘Best Club Person’ for WA in 2020. Adam is an acomplished swimmer himself, having placed 4th at the 2019 World Masters Games in the 50m Backstroke and will be a fine role model for young men.
Adam will be working alongside me, but will be taking the bulk of the ‘on deck’ responsibility for coaching the team in 2022. We are very keen to welcome Adam and show him the best version of the TC swim team.
